AUSTIN, TX / ACCESS Newswire / September 16, 2025 / The magazine behind the Top 50 BBQ Joints list and TM BBQ Fest is holding another barbecue celebration this year: the Texas Monthly BBQ Family Reunion. The September 27 event will bring together barbecue fans, Texas Monthly barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn, and some of the top barbecue legends from across the state for an evening of community, two-steppin', and smokey deliciousness under the stars.
Attendees will have a chance to feast on savory food prepared by out-of-town headliners and a few local favorites. Participating joints include: Blood Bros. BBQ, Feges BBQ, Gatlin's BBQ, Hurtado Barbecue, Pecan Lodge, Pody's BBQ, Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue, and Tyler's Barbeque. The restaurants will be serving a range of delicious items-from traditional classics like pork ribs and mac-and-cheese to creative twists on smoked fare like cold-smoked gulf snapper and elote sausage. While no coolers are allowed, trays are permitted with a limit of one per person and they must be smaller than twelve-by-sixteen-by-one inches.
Tickets include food, with drinks and merchandise available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $100 for adults and $30 for kids ages six through twelve. Children under five eat free. VIP passes, which include a commemorative gift and access to an exclusive lounge, have already sold out. A portion of ticket proceeds benefits the food bank network Feeding Texas.
Texas Monthly thanks our exclusive event partners who help make the Family Reunion possible: EpicCentral and Visit Grand Prairie, as well as Modelo, Tito's Handmade Vodka, and Yeti.
