Alberta Ferretti quits as creative director at brand she founded
Italian desiger Alberta Ferretti, who counts Taylor Swift among her clients, has given up her post of creative director of the fashion brand that she founded in the 1980s, the Aeffe group owners said Tuesday.
The 2025 spring-summer show presented at the Milan women's fashion week last week was the last to be led by the 74-year-old.
"Forty-three years have passed since my first fashion show. The enthusiasm and passion I have towards my work and towards fashion are unchanged, but I believe that at this point of my career it is a right and conscious choice to pave the way for a new creative chapter for the brand I founded," Ferretti said in a statement.
The group, which also owns Moschino and Pollini, said a new creative director would be announced in coming months.
Known for her sensual style, Ferretti, who will remain a vice president of the Milan-listed Aeffe, designed some of the outfits worn by US pop superstar Swift on her "Eras Tour" this year.
