ITRCC Announces Push 4
ELKHART, INDIANA / ACCESS Newswire / January 17, 2025 / ITR Concession Company LLC (ITRCC), the concessionaire and operator of the Indiana Toll Road (ITR), is set to begin construction work along the stretch from mile marker 123 - 157, spanning through Howe, IN to the Ohio state line. The extensive rehabilitation project is designed to improve safety and driving conditions for all ITR motorists. The work is scheduled to start in March 2025 and will continue through mid-November, with temporary pauses during the holidays to minimize disruptions.
The roadwork will focus on repaving and rehabilitating the mainline travel lanes and the Eastpoint toll plaza barrier, as well as improving one interchange and rehabilitating 26 bridges. Additional improvements include the expansion of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) of cameras and message boards, safety upgrades, and plaza beautifications. During the project, there will be intermittent lane closures on both the mainline travel lanes and at toll plazas. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and stay up to date on their E-ZPass accounts to ensure smooth travel.
"Investing in our infrastructure is vital for our community," said an Executive. "This project will not only improve the quality of our roads but also enhance safety for all who travel along the Indiana Toll Road." Upon completion of this project, ITRCC will have reconstructed 94% of the ITR pavement, and invested over $1 billion in infrastructure upgrades on the ITR since 2016.
ITRCC is committed to keeping the community informed throughout the project. Regular updates will be provided via their website and social media channels. ITRCC encourages residents to stay tuned for more information regarding specific closure schedules and alternative routes.
ITRCC appreciates the community's understanding and cooperation during this important project.
