Tocvan Secures Full Permit Approval For Pilot Mine Facility At Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project
Highlights:
Permit for 10 Year Pilot Mine Facility Approved
50,000 tonne capacity heap leach pad
4.5-hectare infrastructure layout with hydrometallurgical processing facility
Fully Permitted for Pilot Mine Development and Exploration Across 100% Controlled Gran Pilar
Operational Goals for Pilot:
50,000 tonnes
1.2 g/t Gold
70% Recovery
CALGARY, AB / ACCESS Newswire / August 14, 2025 / Tocvan Ventures Corp. (the "Company") (CSE:TOC)(OTCQB:TCVNF)(WKN:TV3/A2PE64), is excited to announce that it has received permit approval for the development of a 50,000-tonne pilot mine facility at its flagship Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. This milestone, combined with the previously announced drilling and trenching permits, marks a significant step forward in advancing the project toward production.
The approved pilot mine facility will allow Tocvan to process up to 50,000 tonnes of material, enabling the Company to test and optimize extraction methods while generating early cash flow potential. This permit complements the recently secured approvals for 45 drill pads and 67 trenches across the 100% controlled 21 km² expansion area, which support over 30,000 meters of drilling capacity to target high-grade gold and silver zones. Recent drilling successes, including 6.1 meters of 5.4 g/t Au and 39 g/t Ag within 41.2 meters of 1.0 g/t Au and 10 g/t Ag (JES-25-114, announced May 7, 2025), and 3.1 meters of 19.4 g/t Au within 106.6 meters of 0.6 g/t Au near surface (announced February 25, 2025), underscore the project's robust potential.
"We are thrilled to receive this permit approval for the pilot mine facility, a critical component in our strategy to fast-track Gran Pilar toward production," said Brodie A. Sutherland, CEO of Tocvan Ventures. "This approval, alongside our extensive drilling and trenching permits, positions us to aggressively advance exploration and development while leveraging record-high gold prices to maximize shareholder value. Sonora's mine-friendly environment and our team's commitment to operational excellence make this an exciting time for Tocvan."
The pilot mine facility will focus on processing material from high-grade zones identified through ongoing exploration. Metallurgical studies have already demonstrated strong recovery rates, with 62% gold recovery over a 46-day leaching period and up to 99% gold recovery in gravity recovery tests, further validating the project's economic potential. The approved trenching program will support systematic channel sampling and structural analysis to optimize material for the pilot mine, ensuring efficient operations. The Company intends to focus exploration and pilot mine development exclusively on its 100% controlled ground, maximizing shareholder value and showcasing the broader upside potential.

Figure 1. Gran Pilar Project Overview, > 22km2 of prospective ground with two primary targets: South Block, the direct extension and expansion of the historic Main Zone defined by an expanding vein field of untested drill targets; North Block a 3.2-km by 1.5-km pyrite and clay alteration zone that coincides with high-grade gold-silver, the area remains largely untested.

Figure 2. Layout of the Pilot Design and Infrastructure. The Pilot facility is located on 100% controlled ground. The strategic location allows for sufficient area for growth and expansion for later project development.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Rock and Drill samples were shipped for sample preparation to ALS Limited in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and for analysis at the ALS laboratory in North Vancouver. The ALS Hermosillo and North Vancouver facilities are ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 certified. Gold was analyzed using 50-gram nominal weight fire assay with atomic absorption spectroscopy finish. Over limits for gold (>10 g/t), were analyzed using fire assay with a gravimetric finish. Silver and other elements were analyzed using a four-acid digestion with an ICP finish. Over limit analyses for silver (>100 g/t) were re-assayed using an ore-grade four-acid digestion with ICP-AES finish. Control samples comprising certified reference samples and blank samples were systematically inserted into the sample stream and analyzed as part of the Company's robust quality assurance / quality control protocol.
