Alta Copper Receives Court Approval for Proposed Acquisition by Fortescue
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / January 30, 2026 / Alta Copper Corp. (TSX:ATCU)(OTCQX:ATCUF)(BVL:ATCU) ("Alta Copper" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Supreme Court of British Columbia has granted the final order in connection with the previously announced proposed acquisition (the "Transaction") by Nascent Exploration Pty Ltd ("Nascent"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fortescue Ltd, of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company not already held by Nascent, by way of a court-approved plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) and pursuant to the terms of an arrangement agreement dated December 13, 2025.
The completion of the Transaction remains subject to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development's consideration of the Transaction under the Investment Canada Act (Canada) as described in the Company's press release dated January 22, 2026 and the satisfaction or waiver of any remaining conditions to closing the Transaction.
