NFL to play regular season games in Munich in 2026 and 2028
The NFL will play two regular season games in the German city of Munich in 2026 and 2028, continuing the organisation's ongoing commitment to play annual matches in Germany.
The matches are a result of a multi-year partnership between the NFL, Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the city of Munich, with the participating teams and specific dates not yet set.
Munich's Allianz Arena hosted the first regular season NFL game in Germany in 2022, Frankfurt hosted two games in 2023, followed by a return to Munich in 2024.
Berlin's iconic Olympic Stadium hosted a first regular season game in 2025, with matches scheduled in 2027 and 2029.
The matches have been received enthusiastically by the German public, with each selling out in advance.
In addition to regular games in London, the NFL has also played matches in Mexico, Spain and Ireland, with upcoming games in Brazil and Australia.
In January, Berlin will host the first regular season NBA game to be played in Germany, between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic.
