Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare 2024 Outcomes Report Shows Record Symptom Reductions Across Psychiatric, Eating Disorder Networks
New data notably exceed national benchmarks for recovery and clinical improvement.
FRANKLIN, TN / ACCESS Newswire / October 16, 2025 / Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare today released results from its 2024 Treatment Outcomes Report, showing clients across its Psychiatric and Eating Disorder Networks achieved significant, measurable reductions in symptoms - surpassing national averages for recovery and clinical improvement.

Across the Odyssey Psychiatric Network, residential outcomes included a 54% reduction in depression, a 68% reduction in psychosis, and a 66% reduction in substance abuse symptoms. Outpatient outcomes saw a 44% reduction in depression symptoms over a two-year period, compared to a 34% national average. Within the Odyssey Eating Disorder Network, adults in residential programs achieved a 51% overall reduction in symptoms, while adolescents saw a 43% reduction. Clients in outpatient eating disorder programs reported a 49% overall reduction in symptoms.
"Our structured, client-centric approach delivers prescribed, consistent, and measurable results at every stage of recovery," said Richard Clark, CEO of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. "By pairing evidence-based tools with compassionate care, we help clients achieve real and sustainable change."
To track meaningful clinical outcomes in mental health, addiction, and eating disorder recovery, Odyssey uses three evidence-based measurement tools - BASIS-24, EAT-26, and BPRS - to monitor progress, assess program effectiveness, and refine individualized treatment plans. This data framework translates subjective experiences into actionable metrics, driving accountability and continuous clinical improvement.
"While the expression of mental health is deeply personal, outcomes data help quantify progress for each individual," said Dr. David Forstadt, PsyD, Clinical Outcomes and Neuropsychological Testing of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. "This allows clients and clinicians to clearly see the impact of treatment over time."
According to the 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 61.5 million Americans experienced a mental health condition last year, and 50 million met criteria for a substance use disorder - and only 1 in 5 received the treatment they needed. The National Eating Disorders Association estimates 30 million Americans will face an eating disorder in their lifetime, and every 52 minutes, someone dies as a direct result. Odyssey's 2024 report shows strong capability to help.
As Odyssey continues to expand its programs nationwide, data-driven insights and clinical outcomes remain central to its mission - helping individuals achieve lasting recovery and reclaim their lives.
