BK Technologies Receives InteropONE Purchase Order From State Forestry Agency
WEST MELBOURNE, FL / ACCESS Newswire / February 27, 2025 / BK Technologies Corporation (NYSE American:BKTI) (the "Company" or "BK Technologies") today announced that it has received a purchase order from a state forestry agency for InteropONE, the Company's Push To Talk over Broadband solution that enables operational interoperability to public safety personnel through on demand creation of user groups.
The customer trialed InteropONE during Hurricane Helene relief efforts, where they used Radio over IP (RoIP) gateways to interconnect InteropONE users with their statewide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system. This enabled administrators throughout the state to establish communications via their smartphones, with first responders using LMR radios in the hurricane-impacted areas. Following this successful trial, the customer has purchased InteropONE for use in their operations and expects to bring the solution online soon.
James Teel, General Manager of Solutions, stated, "Hurricane Helene underscored the need for fast and reliable communication in emergency situations. InteropONE's software-based solution provided an efficient and cost-effective means to bridge communication gaps between administrative staff and first responders, enhancing safety and operational effectiveness. We are excited that this agency has chosen to integrate InteropONE into their ongoing public safety efforts and we are confident that this software solution will meet their evolving communication needs."
