The Tie Acquires Staking Rewards, Expanding Its Institutional Digital Asset Intelligence Platform
The acquisition adds the industry's leading staking and yield data platform to The Tie's institutional suite of intelligence, infrastructure, advisory, and communication solutions.
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / July 20, 2026 / The Tie, the leading provider of intelligence, infrastructure, advisory, and communication solutions powering institutional participation in digital assets, today announced its acquisition of the Staking Rewards data and platform business from Finrate AG.
Founded in 2018, Staking Rewards has become the industry's leading destination for staking and digital asset yield information, serving more than one million annual users while providing institutional-grade data to exchanges, custodians, validators, wallets, asset managers, hedge funds, protocols, and other participants across the digital asset ecosystem.
As part of the transaction, Finrate AG will continue to independently operate its Digital Asset Yield Summit and Looping Collective businesses, while The Tie will own and operate the Staking Rewards platform, data products, and related businesses.
"The acquisition of Staking Rewards further advances our mission of building the leading institutional platform for digital assets," said Joshua Frank, Co-Founder & CEO of The Tie. "Staking has become one of the most important segments of the digital asset ecosystem, and Staking Rewards has earned an unparalleled reputation as the industry's trusted source for staking and yield data. By combining our complementary datasets, products, and distribution, we can deliver even greater value to institutional investors while continuing to invest heavily in the Staking Rewards platform."
No Changes for Existing Customers
Existing Staking Rewards customers can expect no disruption to their products or services. APIs, subscriptions, datasets, and platform access will continue uninterrupted, while The Tie plans to accelerate investment in product development, infrastructure, and expanded data coverage.
Importantly, Staking Rewards will continue operating as an independent and neutral third-party data platform.
The Tie also owns Stakin, one of the world's leading institutional staking providers, but believes the value of Staking Rewards is rooted in its independence and trusted reputation across the industry. The acquisition will not change how staking providers are evaluated, ranked, featured, or represented on the platform. Maintaining objective, transparent, and comprehensive coverage of the staking ecosystem will remain a core principle of the business.
Bringing Together Two Leading Data Platforms
The acquisition creates meaningful synergies for customers of both organizations.
Staking Rewards' industry-leading staking and yield datasets will be integrated into The Tie Terminal and The Tie Data APIs, giving institutional investors richer and more actionable insights into staking, validator performance, network economics, and digital asset yield opportunities.
At the same time, The Tie will integrate many of its proprietary datasets - including institutional news, market intelligence, on-chain analytics, and additional proprietary data - into the Staking Rewards platform, creating a more comprehensive destination for investors, protocols, and the more than one million annual users who rely on the platform each year.
Together, the combined platform will continue expanding both the breadth and depth of institutional digital asset intelligence.
Building the Future of Digital Asset Yield
While staking remains foundational to digital asset markets, it represents only one component of a rapidly expanding yield ecosystem.
The Tie plans to continue investing in Staking Rewards as the industry's leading destination for digital asset yield intelligence, expanding coverage beyond traditional staking to include DeFi yield opportunities, tokenized yield products, and emerging on-chain income strategies.
Expanding Institutional Distribution
The acquisition also creates new opportunities for protocols and institutions across both platforms.
Protocols working with The Tie will gain additional visibility through the Staking Rewards platform, one of the industry's largest destinations for staking and yield research. Likewise, Staking Rewards customers will benefit from access to The Tie's extensive institutional network of hedge funds, venture capital firms, asset managers, banks, exchanges, family offices, and other professional market participants.
The acquisition builds on The Tie's broader strategy of creating the industry's leading institutional platform for digital assets by combining market intelligence, institutional communications, capital formation, liquidity formation, and digital asset infrastructure into a single integrated ecosystem.
About The Tie

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in New York City, The Tie provides market intelligence, advisory, infrastructure, and compliant communication solutions that power institutional participation in digital assets.
